Renewed Hope Ambassadors Presidential Media Team Arrives Abia to Inspect Federal and State Projects
The Abia State Government has announced the arrival of a high-powered Renewed Hope Ambassadors Presidential Media Team in the state for an extensive inspection of key federal and state government projects across the 17 Local Government Areas.
The Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, made the disclosure on Tuesday June 16, 2026, while briefing journalists on the outcome of the State Executive Council meeting presided over by State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti.
According to the Commissioner, the visit underscores the growing synergy between the Federal Government and the Abia State Government and provides an opportunity for the presidential media delegation to witness first-hand the scale of developmental projects being executed across the state.
Prince Kanu explained that the team would embark on a comprehensive tour of ongoing and completed projects, particularly road infrastructure and other critical interventions that are impacting the lives of residents across the state.
“During the tour, the team will traverse the state to inspect all the road projects impacted upon by the state government and so many other projects across the 17 local governments of the state.
“The tour will be rounded off with a civil reception for the visiting presidential team to be hosted by Governor Alex Otti OFR,” Prince Kanu said.
The Commissioner noted that the visit comes at a significant time when the relationship between the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Abia State Government continues to yield tangible developmental benefits for the people of the state.
He pointed to several areas of collaboration between both governments, including the proposed airport project and the planned Renewed Hope Housing Estate, describing them as evidence of a productive partnership focused on infrastructure development, economic growth, and improved living standards for Abians.
It is believed that the media tour will provide members of the presidential team with a clearer picture of the ongoing transformation in Abia State, particularly in the areas of road construction, urban renewal, public infrastructure, and other strategic projects being championed by Governor Alex Otti’s administration.
The planned civil reception at the end of the inspection exercise is expected to further strengthen ties between federal and state stakeholders while showcasing Abia’s development strides and commitment to collaborative governance.
The visit is also seen as an opportunity to highlight the impact of federal-state cooperation in delivering projects that directly benefit citizens and advance the broader objectives of national development under the Renewed Hope agenda.
