“Nobody Can Touch Alex Otti” — VeryDarkMan Explains Why Otti May Not Need to Campaign for Second Term
Popular Nigerian social commentator VeryDarkMan has singled out Abia State Governor Alex Otti as an example of a politician whose performance, he believes, could make a second-term campaign unnecessary.
Speaking on the politics of re-election, VeryDarkMan argued that politicians who deliver on their promises should not have to struggle to convince voters to retain them, insisting that satisfied citizens would naturally defend their preferred leader.
“I will always use Alex Otti as a reference point. I will always use him as a reference point,” VeryDarkMan said.
According to him, Otti would not need to embark on an aggressive campaign for a second term because his supporters would allegedly stand up for him based on what they have seen during his first term.

“That man is not going to campaign for a second term, and nobody touches him,” he stated.
VeryDarkMan further explained that Otti’s supporters would reject any attempt to undermine the governor because, in his view, they have witnessed the administration’s performance.
“They’ll tell you, ‘This is who we want. We have seen all what he has done in the first term,’” he added.
The social commentator also compared Otti’s situation with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, suggesting that public resistance to Tinubu’s potential continuation in office is linked to what he described as dissatisfaction with the administration’s performance, particularly on security.
“The reason why people say they don’t want a Tinubu to continue is, we have not really seen what he has done, especially with security. We have not seen anything,” VeryDarkMan said.
His remarks have added another layer to the growing political conversation around Governor Otti and the possibility of his second-term bid, particularly whether his record in office could generate enough grassroots support to carry him into another term.
