Media Today Nigeria is an independent digital news and information platform committed to providing accurate, timely, fair and responsible journalism to readers in Nigeria and around the world.

Our editorial policy sets out the standards that guide our reporters, correspondents, editors, contributors and other members of our editorial team.

Content submitted by readers, contributors or social media users may be edited, reviewed or rejected before publication.

Media Today Nigeria does not automatically treat viral social media content as factual.

We may remove or update content where credible evidence demonstrates that it is false, misleading or materially inaccurate.

8. Images, Videos and Copyright

We seek to use photographs, videos, graphics and other materials lawfully and responsibly.

Images should not be deliberately manipulated in a way that materially misrepresents an event or person.

Where an image is illustrative rather than an actual photograph of the event being reported, it should be identified appropriately where necessary.

9. Headlines

Headlines should attract readers while remaining substantially accurate and relevant to the accompanying story.

Media Today Nigeria may use engaging headlines, but headlines must not deliberately misrepresent the content of an article.

We do not knowingly use false information simply to generate clicks.

10. Corrections

When we identify a significant factual error, we will make a correction or update as appropriate.

Corrections will be handled in accordance with our Corrections Policy.

11. Privacy and Personal Information

We take privacy seriously.

We avoid publishing unnecessary personal information, particularly information that could expose individuals to unreasonable harm.
