Kwande/Ushongo Group Rally Support For Aondoakaa Ahead Of 2027 General Election

July 6, () — Group under the aegis of Kwande Ushongo Youth Alliance, Ushongo Daughters, Abayol Sisters, have declared their unflinching support for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the 2027 general election in Benue State, Chief Michael Aondoakaa (SAN), to clinch victory at the polls.

In a solidarity visit, the delegation, drawn from the Kwande/Ushongo axis of the State, assured Chief Aondoakaa of their readiness to mobilise massive grassroots support across their communities to ensure his emergence, expressing confidence in his capacity, integrity, and wealth of experience, dividends of democracy to the Benue people if elected as governor.

Speaking on behalf of the groups, Mr Bernard Terngu Aga, Terdue Akaaya, Blessing Aondowase, and Dooshima Iorfa all described Aondoakaa as a leader best positioned to restore hope and unite people for sustainable development.

The group pledged to embark on vigorous grassroots campaigns and sensitisation efforts, assuring him that every available structure within their organisations would be deployed to canvass support for his victory at the polls.

Responding, Chief Aondoakaa expressed profound appreciation for the confidence reposed in him and commended the groups for their unity, patriotism, and commitment to the future of Benue State.

He urged them to remain steadfast and work audaciously, not only for his governorship ambition but also for the success of the People’s Democratic Party at all levels.

Chief Aondoakaa also charged the group to mobilise support for the party’s Senatorial candidate, Hon. Thomas Tyolumun Unongo, the House of Representatives candidate, Hon. Moses Mkeenem, as well as all the PDP House of Assembly candidates, emphasising that victory would only be meaningful through collective success across the ballot.

He promised to uplift the spirit of the state for optimal development, calling on all to ensure a rancour-free atmosphere ahead of the 2027 general election.

The high point of the meeting was the decoration of Chief Aondoakaa in rich Tiv traditional regalia.
