Aba Power Apologises as Maintenance Work Triggers Temporary Electricity Shortage
Residents and businesses within the Aba Power electricity network are currently experiencing a temporary power supply shortage following critical maintenance work being carried out by the company’s primary power provider, Geometric Power Aba Limited (GPAL).
In a public notice issued on Sunday, July 26, 2026, Aba Power apologised to its customers for the disruption, assuring them that efforts are underway to restore normal electricity supply as quickly as possible.
According to the company, the shortage is directly linked to ongoing maintenance on critical facilities by Geometric Power Aba Limited, a move aimed at ensuring the continued reliability and stability of the power infrastructure.
Aba Power disclosed that it had received assurances from GPAL that the maintenance exercise would be completed shortly, after which electricity supply is expected to improve significantly across its coverage areas.
The company appealed to customers for patience and understanding during the maintenance period, while reaffirming its commitment to delivering reliable electricity services.
The statement, signed by the management of Aba Power and dated July 26, 2026, expressed regret over the inconvenience caused and thanked customers for their continued support as work progresses toward restoring improved power supply.
