2027: Ikim Urges United Front As Pro-Tinubu Groups Intensify Grassroots Mobilisation In Akwa Ibom
June 20 () — The Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Akwa Ibom State, Prince Akpan Ikim, has called for greater unity and coordination among support groups backing President Bola Tinubu, saying a harmonised grassroots structure is critical to sustaining the administration’s political momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Ikim made the call on Friday in Uyo when leaders of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors hosted members of the Tinubu Torch-Bearers (TTB) during a courtesy visit to strengthen collaboration among pro-Tinubu groups in the state.

Describing the meeting as a strategic engagement, Ikim said both organisations share a common commitment to advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda and deepening public understanding of the Federal Government’s policies and reforms.
According to him, effective grassroots mobilisation requires discipline, cooperation and sustained engagement with citizens across communities, stressing that support groups must work together rather than operate in isolation.
He noted that the administration’s economic and institutional reforms would gain wider acceptance when properly communicated to the people through coordinated advocacy and community-based engagement.
The Renewed Hope Ambassadors coordinator also commended First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu and Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno for initiatives targeted at women empowerment and development, describing their interventions as important contributions to national growth and social inclusion.
Earlier, the State Coordinator of Tinubu Torch-Bearers, Mrs Inyene Bassey, said the organisation was established to promote the Renewed Hope Agenda and mobilise support for President Tinubu and candidates aligned with the movement.
She disclosed that the group had expanded its activities across the 31 local government areas of the state through voter mobilisation, civic engagement and programmes designed to encourage greater participation of women in politics.
Bassey added that the organisation would intensify advocacy efforts aimed at countering misinformation and promoting informed citizen participation in democratic processes.
Also speaking, the Senior Special Assistant to the President of the Senate on Women Affairs, Obonganwan Obonodo Uko, described the gathering as a meeting of political allies committed to strengthening support for the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Uko expressed confidence that closer cooperation between the groups would expand their reach, strengthen political structures and enhance grassroots mobilisation efforts ahead of the next electoral cycle.
The meeting ended with both organisations agreeing to pursue joint voter education campaigns, coordinated community engagements and other mobilisation activities as political preparations for 2027 gather pace in Akwa Ibom State.
