“He Accidentally Sent Me ₦700,000” - Man Shares Unexpected Twist After Wrong Opay Transfer

A Nigerian man has gone viral on X after sharing how a simple wrong bank transfer took an unexpected twist when the recipient accidentally sent him ₦700,000 instead of the agreed refund.

The X user, identified as @Dr-Pharouk, revealed that he mistakenly transferred ₦70,000 to the wrong Opay account. According to him, the recipient initially insisted he would keep ₦20,000 as a reward for his honesty and return only ₦50,000, an arrangement he agreed to.

However, things took an unexpected turn when the recipient mistakenly transferred ₦700,000 instead of ₦50,000. The man said the sender has since been calling repeatedly, pleading for the full amount to be returned because the money allegedly belongs to his boss.

Sharing the incident, he wrote: “I accidentally sent 70K to a wrong Opay account. The owner said he would keep 20K for his honesty and send back 50K. I agreed. Then he mistakenly sent me 700K instead. Now, he has been calling me since and begging me to send all the money as it’s for his boss. What should I do?”

The post quickly attracted mixed reactions, with many social media users responding with jokes and sarcastic suggestions.
