July 27, () — Big Brother Naija Season 11 has its first Head of House, with Chimsom Chuka winning the opening HOH challenge after recording the fastest time in the men’s category.
His victory earned him the Head of House title and immunity from this week’s nominations and possible eviction.
Abi also impressed in the challenge, recording the fastest time in the women’s category to emerge as the season’s first Deputy Head of House.
However, Big Brother introduced a surprise twist immediately after the challenge.
Unlike previous seasons, where the Head of House automatically moved into the exclusive HOH Loft, Chimsom was instructed to pick a name from a lucky dip box to decide who would occupy the room.
The name he picked was Tram, making him the first housemate to stay in the HOH Loft this season.
Tram was then allowed to choose one housemate to share the loft with and selected Sheba.
As a result, Chimsom retains the Head of House title, leadership responsibilities, and week-one immunity, while Tram and Sheba will enjoy the exclusive HOH Loft for the week.
The unexpected twist marks one of the first major changes of the “Show Ya Self” season and signals that viewers and housemates can expect more surprises as the competition unfolds.
