Davido revealed the surprise gesture on his Instagram Story on Sunday, July 26, sharing a photo of the luxury electric pickup truck alongside a heartfelt message to his former signee.

“My gift to you. I love you @iammayorkun”, he wrote, while asking an associate to arrange delivery of the vehicle.

Mayorkun later reposted Davido’s post on his Instagram Story with the caption, “Love 4L, 001,” expressing appreciation for the gift and reaffirming their friendship years after his departure from Davido Music Worldwide (DMW).

Davido discovered Mayorkun in 2016 after watching one of his music covers online and subsequently signed him to DMW. During his time with the label, Mayorkun released several hit songs, including “Eleko,” before launching his independent career after his contract expired in 2021.
