The film had a strong opening weekend, earning ₦131.8 million between Friday, July 17, and Sunday, July 19, before closing its first week with a total of ₦215.8 million.

It earned ₦40.1 million on Friday, July 17, ₦49.1 million on Saturday, July 18, and ₦41.2 million on Sunday, July 19. The remaining earnings came from weekday screenings across 66 cinema locations.

The debut places “The Odyssey” fifth on the list of the biggest Hollywood opening weeks in West Africa. It ranks behind “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” (₦318.5 million), “Avengers: Endgame” (₦304.9 million), “Spider-Man: No Way Home” (₦245.5 million), and “Avengers: Infinity War” (₦225 million).

Premium cinema formats also played a major role in the film’s performance. According to CEAN data, two IMAX screens generated about one-third of the film’s opening-day revenue, showing strong audience interest in the large-format experience.
