Speaking in a video, Mama Pee criticized the conduct of some police officers, claiming that an apology alone would not prevent similar incidents from happening again.

“The Police in Nigeria are bad; the ones in Benin are demons. I understand why Teddy doesn’t want to call names. They don’t mean the apology they gave to you. They will meet you at night and do thesame thing again. It’s either you do it the legal way or go meet the Commissioner of Police in the office. Don’t leave this matter the way it is.”

Her comments followed Teddy The Explorer’s account of an alleged assault by officers attached to an anti-cultism unit in Benin City.

According to Teddy, the incident began after he reminded the officers that the Inspector General of Police had directed that officers should not search citizens’ phones.

“The moment I told them that the IG said police officers are not allowed to search people’s phones, three police officers including the head of the anti-cultism unit started be@ting me. They were slapping me from different sides. They took me to cell and told the cellmates to beat me up and make sure to get information from me.”

The allegations have sparked conversations online about police conduct and accountability. As of the time of this report, the Nigeria Police Force has not publicly responded to the specific allegations.
