Osas Ighodaro Makes Bollywood Debut In ‘Imported Bahu’
June 23 () — Nigerian-American actress, Osas Ighodaro, has made her Bollywood debut in a new Nollywood-Bollywood cross-cultural series titled “Imported Bahu”, where she plays the lead role.
The project is a vertical micro-drama series designed for mobile viewing. It is the first production of its kind from Forever 7 Entertainment, founded by filmmaker, Hamisha Daryani Ahuja.
The series also stars Bollywood actor, Rajniesh Duggall. It tells a story about love, family, and secrets, centred on a foreign bride who joins an Indian family and turns their traditional household upside down.
The series was created to strengthen collaboration between Nollywood and Bollywood through cross-cultural storytelling. It is produced in a vertical format, meaning it is shot in portrait style for smartphones.
Ighodaro announced the project on social media and shared the trailer with fans.

“Imported Bahu” will premiere on 2 July 2026 on LebaraPlay, a mobile streaming platform.
Ighodaro began her acting career in the United States before moving into Nollywood, where she has appeared in television series and films including “Tinsel”, “Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story” and “Man of God.”
She has also won multiple Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards for her performances.
