Abia Police Raid Stolen Vehicle Hideout in Isuochi, Recover Two Cars

The Abia State Police Command has uncovered a suspected hideout allegedly used for keeping stolen vehicles in the Isuochi area of the state, recovering two vehicles in the process.

The operation, carried out on Friday, September 25, 2026, was conducted by operatives of the Isuochi Divisional Police Headquarters following what the Command described as credible and actionable intelligence.

The recovered vehicles are:

One white Dodge vehicle, with registration number Lagos APP-909KF.

One red Toyota Camry, with registration number ENU-43AZ.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Maureen Chioma Chinaka, the operation was conducted in line with the directive of the Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Wilfred Olutokunbo Afolabi, on sustained intelligence-led operations against criminal activities across the state.

The Command said the recovered vehicles are currently in safe police custody, while investigation is ongoing to identify and apprehend members of the suspected vehicle theft syndicate linked to the hideout.

The Police have also appealed to members of the public whose vehicles may have been stolen and who believe they match the description of the recovered vehicles to visit the Police Headquarters in Umuahia with valid proof of ownership for identification and possible recovery.

The Commissioner of Police reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to tackling criminal activities in Abia State and urged residents to continue providing timely information to the Police.
