- A pastor identified as Bidemi Odukoya of Celestial Church of Christ, Iri Orun Parish, has allegedly k+lled his wife during a domestic dispute in Ogun State before reportedly taking his own life.
- The incident, which occurred in the Ogooluwa community in Ifo Local Government Area, has been linked by community members to allegations of infidelity.

A pastor identified as Bidemi Odukoya of the Celestial Church of Christ, Iri Orun Parish, has allegedly k+lled his wife during a domestic dispute in Ogun State before reportedly taking his own life.
The incident reportedly occurred at the couple’s residence in Ogooluwa community, Akiode Ibogun, Ifo Local Government Area, in the early hours of August 31.
According to reports, Odukoya, who was a father of three boys, allegedly attacked his wife during a domestic f+ght around 2am before later throwing himself in front of a moving truck along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.
A neighbour identified as Oseni said the couple had a history of domestic disputes and that Police officers had previously intervened in one of their conflicts.
“Sincerely, Mummy Daniel and her husband, who we fondly called Iri Orun, have always engaged in domestic f+ghts. Recently, I had to help take care of the wife after their usual f+ght,” the neighbour said.
She added that Police intervention had taken place previously and the community believed the matter had been resolved.
According to Oseni, the couple’s 14-year-old son, Daniel, raised the alarm after his father allegedly attacked his mother.
She said she and another neighbour rushed to the house, where they reportedly found the woman’s lifeless body with a br+ken head and covered in bl%%d.
“We later got to hear that the Shepherd used a machete and wooden stool to sm@sh the head of his wife. We also saw Daddy Daniel with a cutlass in his hand,” she said.
Community youth leader Seun Adelana said the dispute was allegedly connected to accusations of infidelity involving both parties.
“The husband was said to have been alleging that the wife was dating another man, and some people also said that the shepherd was dating another woman,” Adelana said.
“So, this is what we gathered led to the altercation, which made the husband k+ll the woman.”
The community Baale, Taiwo Akiode, also alleged that witnesses saw Odukoya crossing the expressway repeatedly before sitting on the median and jumping in front of an oncoming truck.
The tragic incident has sparked emotional reactions online, with many Nigerians expressing shock over the reported deaths and questioning how a marital dispute could end so violently.
