2027: Peter Obi, others not keen on presenting manifestos – Osinbajo’s ex-aide, Akande

A former media aide to ex-Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Laolu Akande, on Wednesday accused the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and other opposition candidates of not being keen on presenting their manifestos to Nigerians.

Akande faulted Obi‘s failure to present his manifesto to Nigerians, barely two months before the presidential election.

Speaking during an interview on MEDIA TODAY’s Sunrise Daily, Akande said Nigerians should not expect any political figure to come and save them.

Akande insisted that Nigerians, at the community, ward and local government levels, should come out in their numbers to determine who leads them.

He said: “I think Nigerians will not have a politician who is going to save us. We are not going to have a political figure who will come and save us, no.

“Making things right must start from the communities, with people coming out from their wards to their local governments to say, ‘We want to determine who will govern us.’
