The late staff member of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) died at the age of 48, Mrs Onwubuariri Catherine Ezinna, the wife confirmed.

Onwubuariri, an astute journalist, passed away after a month of treatment at the Kano Cancer Hospital under the state government’s treatment authorization.

The deceased’s body has been handed over to Oche Egwa Deputy Director, Information and Public Relations, State House, on behalf of Mr. Bayou Onanuga, the presidential spokesperson.
September 08, () — Assistant Director, Information and Public Relations at the State House, Peter Onwubuariri died on Monday in Kano after a protracted illness.
The remains of late Onwubuariri have departed Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano, on Tuesday for burial in Owerri, Imo State.
Onwubuariri, an astute journalist passed on after a month of treatment at the Kano Cancer Hospital under the state government treatment authorization.

Late Onwubuariri’s corpse has been handed over to Oche Echeija Egwa Deputy Director, Information and Public Relations, State House on behalf of Mr. Bayou Onanuga, the presidential spokesperson.
The corpse was handed over at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) by Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa spokesperson to Governor Abba Yusuf.
Meanwhile, Governor Yusuf has extended condolences to the President and Presidential media unit over the loss of Mr. Onwubuariri.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa, the Governor described the late Peter as a thoroughbred professional who had contributed immensely to the presidential reputation and management over the years.
