Women in Ogun State Protest Over Alleged ₦10,000 Campaign Allowance by APC After Campaign Engagement
A group of women from Ilaro and Ijebu areas have reportedly staged a protest over the alleged non-payment of a ₦10,000 campaign allowance they were promised after being engaged to participate in campaign activities linked to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Yayi.
The women, described as campaign supporters who were mobilised for political activities, are said to have expressed frustration over their inability to receive the allowance they expected after carrying out campaign-related assignments.
Their protest has drawn attention to the financial difficulties faced by some grassroots campaign supporters, particularly women who participate in political mobilisation activities with the expectation of receiving modest stipends for their time and efforts.
