A young lady has sparked reactions online after breaking down in tears while claiming that her former boyfriend caused her to lose her job.
In an emotional video making the rounds on social media, the woman alleged that she was at her workplace when her boss suddenly asked her to leave after receiving a phone call from her ex-boyfriend.
According to her, the man allegedly made disturbing comments about her family and reportedly warned her employer against continuing to employ her, claiming that doing so could negatively affect the company’s brand.
The distressed lady said, “So this is me at my work place where I work, my boss said she is sacking me because my ex boyfriend called her and told her that she should not employ me o that my people are always dy!ng and that she doesn’t want her brand to fall.”
She went on to explain that the incident happened while she was working, adding that her colleagues tried to intervene and plead with her boss.
“I was working now and she just came and told me to leave. All my colleagues are begging her to calm down. This is not the first time this thing is happening o,” she said.
Her account suggests that this may not be the first occasion where allegations involving her former relationship have affected her employment opportunities. However, there is currently no independent evidence confirming her claims or establishing exactly what was said during the alleged phone call.
The video has since generated a wave of reactions online, with many social media users expressing sympathy for the woman and criticising the alleged interference in her professional life.
Some commenters also advised her to seek appropriate legal guidance if she believes she was unfairly dismissed, while others stressed the importance of employers thoroughly verifying allegations before taking action against an employee.
The incident has also reignited discussions about the boundaries between personal disputes and professional relationships, particularly when conflicts between former partners begin to affect a person’s career.
