Love Beyond Borders As Victor, Peace Seal Union In Holy Matrimony
…Tasked On Building Godly Home
In a celebration that underscored the unifying power of love beyond ethnic and geographical boundaries, family, friends and well-wishers on Saturday came together in Aba, Abia State, as Bro. Ogunji Oluwasegun Victor an indigene of Ogun State and former Miss Peace Onyinyechi Onyewe from Imo State exchanged marital vows.

The colorful solemnization, held at the Deeper Life Bible Church, (Noble Group) No 4, Ikonne Street, Aba, drew relatives, church members, colleagues and well-wishers from different parts of the country, with the couple publicly declaring their commitment to one another before God and the congregation.

Delivering a sermon titled, “Divine Wisdom for Building Godly Homes“, the Resident Pastor, Pastor Diala, urged the couple to make God’s word the bedrock of their marriage, warning against the growing trend of building homes on worldly philosophies and modern ideas.
The cleric noted that many marriages are experiencing challenges because couples have abandoned scriptural principles in favour of societal trends.

“God is the foundation of every solid marriage, If you neglect this build your home on Christ, the foundation, you are making a very costly mistake.
“Build your marriage on the wisdom of God, cultivate wisdom, build your home based on it, and your home will last.
“The Word of God is a rock. It’s a solid foundation. It will make your home last”, he stated.

Pastor Diala also cautioned against divorce, insisting that it was never God’s original intention for marriage.
“At the inception of marriage, make up your mind that this marriage will not divorce”, the cleric charged the couple.

He identified prayer, love, righteous disposition, good character and integrity as the foundational pillars of a godly marriage and prayed that the union would be marked by fulfilment, joy and the grace to stand the test of time.
Earlier, the officiating minister, Pastor Tony Ogbonna described marriage as “the closest relationship that can exist between two human beings” and urged the couple to preserve its sanctity.

“The world has the idea that marriage is simply a legal contract. It is a legal contract, but at the same time, it is a spiritual contract,” he said.
According to him, a divine miracle occurs when two born-again believers exchange vows in accordance with God’s word, praying that the newlyweds would enjoy “union with the Father, union with the Son, union with the Holy Spirit and union with Christ’s body – the Church”.

At the reception held at the GIA Events Centre, the Chairman of the occasion, Barr. Pastor Morrison Uzoma of the Deeper Life Central Town Group, urged the couple to uphold the sanctity of Christian marriage, avoid third-party interference and remain steadfast in love and mutual understanding.

Also, mother of the bride, Mrs Theresa Onyewe, who was overwhelmed with thanksgiving to God for making the day a reality, described her daughter as a blessing to the family, a disciplined and God-fearing young woman who has brought her pride and joy and prayed that her new home would be filled with peace, love, understanding and divine favour.

Mrs Onyewe also advised the couple to always place God at the centre of their marriage, to be patient with one another, and to remember that true marriage is built on sacrifice, forgiveness and mutual respect, adding that the union will flourish and stand the test of time.
In their vote of thanks, the couple, Mr Victor Oluwasegun and Mrs Peace Onyinyechi Ogunji expressed gratitude to God for making the day a reality and thanked both families, ministers and guests for their support and prayers.

The ceremony featured musical performances, prayers, cutting of cake and exchange of gifts.
