Abia LP Fixes November 1 for 2027 Campaign Flag-Off
The Labour Party (LP) in Abia State has announced November 1, 2026, for the official flag-off of its campaign for the 2027 general elections.
The rally, scheduled to hold at the Umuahia Township Stadium at 10 a.m., will feature the party’s campaign for the re-election of Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti, and his deputy, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, as well as its National and State Assembly candidates.
The Director-General of the Abia State Labour Party Campaign Council, Rt. Hon. Agwu U. Agwu, disclosed this in an invitation issued on behalf of the council’s members and the party’s State Working Committee.
According to the statement signed by the council’s Director of Publicity, Sir Onyebuchi Ememanka, the event will be preceded by an interdenominational church service involving several Christian ministers.

The statement also announced that gospel musician Buchi would perform at the rally, while the party’s Campaign Advisory Council would be inaugurated on the same day.
It added that the flag-off would mark the beginning of subsequent zonal and constituency campaign rallies across the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party invited members of its National Executive Committee, candidates, support groups, party members and the general public to participate in the event.
The statement urged supporters to turn out in large numbers to demonstrate their commitment to the party’s electoral ambition.
