The Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON), in partnership with the Nigerian Navy, has honoured the Labour Party candidate for Bende Federal Constituency, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, popularly known as OFUJI, for his contributions to sports development in Nigeria.
Anyaso received the award of recognition during the CNS/NOWA Cup 2026, held as part of activities marking the 22nd Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) and 12th Naval Officers’ Wives Association (NOWA) Soccer Tournament.
The organisers commended Anyaso for his commitment to the advancement of sports and his support for initiatives focused on discovering, nurturing and providing opportunities for young sporting talents.
The award plaque recognised his “immense contributions to the development of sports in Nigeria,” noting his support for programmes that promote sporting excellence and youth development.
