Uyo Senatorial District Media Professionals Forum (USDMPF ) Elects New Officers [PHOTOS & PORTFOLIOS]

UYO, AKWA IBOM — The Uyo Senatorial District Media Professionals Forum has elected a new set of officers to pilot the affairs of the organisation following the expiration of the tenure of the previous executive.

The election was approved at the Forum’s 35th Enlarged Meeting by the Board of Trustees/Governing Council and was conducted in accordance with the governing provisions of the Forum.

The newly elected officers are expected to provide effective leadership, professional coordination, continuity and responsible administration as the Forum advances its objectives.

Clement Warrie emerged as President, while Charles Akpan was elected Vice President for Uyo Federal Constituency and Deputy President.

Other elected officers include Edet Ikotidem, Vice President, Itu/Ibiono Federal Constituency; Edidiong Ita, Vice President, Etinan Federal Constituency; Hon. Itorobong Umoh, Secretary; Itoro-Etas Iniobong, Assistant Secretary; Ukara-Abasi Effiong, Treasurer; Victor Preachers, Financial Secretary; and Ubon Marcus, Spokesperson.

Also elected are Victor Ukpong, Director of Contact and Mobilization; Saviour Umana, Deputy Director of Internal Mobilization; Comrade Bassey Samuel, Deputy Director of External Relations and Outreach; Destiny Young, Director of ICT; Aniekeme John, Deputy Director of ICT; and Iberedem Peter, Deputy Director of ICT, Graphics Design.

The new executive further includes Richard Okon, Director of New Media; Kingsley Edet, Deputy Director of New Media; Anamati Inyang, Director of Content; Comrade Henshaw Nyong, Director of Ethics and Professional Standards; Godwin Edet, Director of Programmes; and Iniobong Samuel Iwaudofia, Deputy Director of Programmes.

Others are Etebong Akpan, Director of Print Media; Uwem Ekoh, Deputy Director of Print Media; Comrade Courage Mbon, Director of Electronic Media; Stephen Uwah, Deputy Director of Electronic Media; Goodwealth Bassey, Director of Visuals; Idorenyin Inyang, Deputy Director of Visuals; Cavil Uduak Inwang, Director of Research and Analytics; Iniobong Ituen, Deputy Director of Research and Analytics; Linus Effiong, Director of Strategy, Secretariat Support; and Ephraim Ikpe, Ex Officio.

In the announcement, the Board of Trustees/Governing Council charged the newly elected officers to discharge their responsibilities with professionalism, integrity, commitment and discipline while respecting the collective interests of the Forum.

The Board also urged members of the Uyo Senatorial District Media Professionals Forum to extend their cooperation and support to the new leadership in order to strengthen the unity, growth, professional standing and objectives of the organisation.

The officers are expected to assume their respective responsibilities forthwith and operate in line with the Constitution, policies and decisions of the Forum and directives of the Board of Trustees/Governing Council.
