Lilo & Stitch Star Daveigh Chase Dies At 35

June 18 () — American actress, Daveigh Chase, best known for voicing Lilo in “Lilo & Stitch” and playing Samara Morgan in “The Ring”, has died at the age of 35.

She died on June 16 in Los Angeles from complications linked to meningitis and a blood infection that led to sepsis, according to her boyfriend, Roy Hernandez. He stated that she had recently been hospitalised for malnutrition.

Her longtime manager, John Ryan Jr., confirmed her death and remembered her as a talented individual who loved acting but preferred a quiet life away from the spotlight.

Born in Las Vegas on July 24, 1990, Chase began acting as a child and rose to fame in 2002. She voiced Lilo Pelekai in “Lilo & Stitch”, a role that earned her an Annie Award for voice acting. She later continued the role in several spin-offs and the animated television series.

She also became widely known for playing Samara Morgan in the 2002 horror film “The Ring”, a performance that earned her an MTV Movie Award for Best Villain.

Additionally, Chase voiced Chihiro in the English-language dub of “Spirited Away” and appeared in numerous films and television series, including “Donnie Darko”, “Big Love”, “Sabrina the Teenage Witch”, “ER”, and “Charmed”.

Her final screen role came in 2016. Although she stepped away from Hollywood in her later years, fans still remember her for her iconic roles in popular early-2000s films and television shows.
