UMUAHIA – A former Governor of Abia State and two-term Senator, Chief Theodore Ahamefule Orji, has congratulated his former Commissioner, Professor Philips Nto, on his birthday, describing him as a loyal, dependable and appreciative associate.
Orji said Nto was among the few individuals he empowered during his administration who had continued to acknowledge and appreciate the opportunities given to them.
In a goodwill message ahead of Nto’s birthday on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, the former governor expressed admiration for the professor’s character, particularly his ability to remain grateful to those who contributed to his personal and professional development.
Orji recalled that he appointed Nto as a commissioner in his administration about 13 years ago, when the latter was relatively young, because he recognised his potential to contribute to the development of Abia State and Nigeria.
He noted that despite the passage of more than a decade since Nto successfully completed his assignment as commissioner, he had continued to demonstrate loyalty and appreciation for the opportunity.
According to the former governor, Nto had built on the foundation provided by the appointment to achieve significant progress in his social, academic and political life.
Orji said Nto’s attitude of gratitude was commendable, adding that his achievements indicated the possibility of greater accomplishments in the future.

The goodwill message, titled “Happy Birthday to a Loyal and Appreciative Associate,” was signed by Chief T. A. Orji, popularly known as Ochendo Global, who served as Governor of Abia State from 2007 to 2015.
