Rolex Dee’s father collapsed, died after news of son vomiting blood in detention [VIDEO]

Nigerian musician, Afunso Ridwan Abiola, better known by his stage name, Rolex Dee, has lost his father.

The singer’s father died a few days ago after hearing the news about his son vomiting blood in police custody.

The news of the incident was made public by Rollex Dee’s mother in a video that surfaced on social media on Sunday.

Explaining the incident, Rollex’s mother who seems to be separated from the husband, was seen crying in a now trending video recorded at the deceased’s funeral, “So I won’t see you again?

“The last time we saw each other was when we went together to Taye Currency’s house to beg him for our son’s release. That was the day that Taye Currency video recorded us begging.

“My son was vomiting blood two days ago, and the father died yesterday. My son is not allowed to pay his father his last respect. Taye Currency, despite all our pleas to forgive my son.”

While begging Nigerians for help to secure the singer’s release, she further lamented the failure of the police to take Rollex to the hospital for treatment despite being critically ill.

MEDIA TODAY reports that Rollex Dee was one of the Taye Currency’s loyalists that took side with him during his clash with singer Pasuma.

After a major fallout between them, Rollex exposed some of the alleged secrets about Taye, which led to his arrest.
