The Harvesters International Christian Centre (HICC) community has been thrown into mourning following the death of Pastor Bolaji John, a campus pastor at the church’s Lekki branch.
The news of her passing emerged on Saturday, October 31, 2026, through a memorial page created in her honour. However, details surrounding the circumstances of her death had not been made public as of the time of this report.
Since the news broke, tributes have continued to pour in across social media, with members of the church and those who knew her expressing sadness over the loss of a pastor remembered for her approach to teaching the Scriptures and explaining biblical principles.

According to the worshipper, two things stood out during the service: the visibly distressed appearance of the church’s Senior Pastor, Bolaji Idowu, and the message he delivered.
The member recounted that Pastor Idowu appeared unusually troubled, with a swollen and darkened face, red eyes, and a noticeably lean appearance. Initially, the worshipper attributed his condition to the possibility that he was observing his regular 40-day period of prayer and fasting or spending extended time in fellowship with God.
The church member also observed that Pastor Idowu’s sermon, which centred on prophecy and remaining steadfast in the belief that God is faithful, carried an unusual emotional weight.
Following the emergence of the news about Pastor Bolaji John’s death, the worshipper said the observations made during the service had taken on a different meaning.
