Governor Sule Sacks Information Commissioner, 5 others in Cabinet Reshuffle
Governor Abdullahi A. Sule of Nasarawa State has approved the immediate removal of six Honourable Commissioners from his cabinet with immediate effect.
The announcement was contained in a public statement released by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Shuaibu Magaji Labaran, Ph.D, SAN. On Wednesday 22, July 2026.
According to the statement, the decision is in furtherance of the present administration’s commitment to reinvigorate the service for enhanced performance towards the socio-economic development of the state.
The affected commissioners include Mu’azu Adamu Gosho of Works, Housing & Transport, Gabriel A. Agbashi commissioner of Science, Technology & Innovation just as CP. Usman Isa Baba (Rtd.) Special Duties, Security Affairs is also affected. Other commissioners affected include that of Lands & Urban Development, David Sule Moyi, Esq. Hauwa Samuel Jugbo of Women Affairs & Humanitarian Services and Dr. Ibrahim Tanko Commissioner of Information, Culture & Tourism.
The statement directed all affected Honourable Commissioners to hand over the affairs of their Ministries to the respective Permanent Secretaries with immediate effect.
Governor Sule, while appreciating their invaluable contributions and support towards the development of the state, wished them the best of luck in their future endeavours.
Political analyst say the cabinet shake-up is aimed at repositioning the administration to deliver on its development agenda ahead of the 2027 general election.
