Respond to Murder Frame-Up Allegation, VeryDarkBlackMan Dares AIG Moshood Jimoh.
Social media activist, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkBlavkMan, has intensified his allegations against Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Moshood Jimoh, challenging the senior police officer to publicly respond to claims that he conspired to frame businessman, Ahmed Tajudeen Akanbi, in a murder case.

The activist renewed the challenge in a video posted on his official social media platforms, where he questioned the conduct of the investigation into the death of Sheriff Salami. He alleged that the handling of the case compromised the integrity of Nigeria’s criminal justice system and called for a transparent response from the police hierarchy.
According to VeryDarkBlackMan, AIG Jimoh allegedly worked alongside Aare Bashiru Fakorede to implicate Akanbi in the murder case, despite the fact that earlier confessional statements from suspects reportedly did not mention the businessman’s name.
Issuing a direct challenge to the police officer, VeryDarkBlackMan said:
“Do you know what it means that two businessmen are fighting and one uses a senior police officer to frame the other for murder because they want to get rid of him?
“I just want you to respond to the heavy allegations I laid against you. I said you conspired with Aare Fakorede to set up and pin murder on Ahmed Tajudeen Akanbi. I want you to respond.”
The activist further alleged that police investigators arrested an initial suspect on January 6, 2026, whose confession reportedly identified other individuals linked to the killing but did not mention Akanbi. He claimed that another suspect arrested subsequently also made a confession that similarly failed to implicate the businessman.
According to VeryDarkBlackMan, the direction of the investigation allegedly changed after the suspects were subjected to torture, resulting in fresh statements that implicated Akanbi.
In the video, the activist displayed what he described as part of a written statement from one of the suspects.
According to him, the statement contained claims that the suspect was repeatedly tortured by police officers and pressured into falsely implicating Akanbi.
Reading from the document, VeryDarkBlackMan said the suspect alleged that he acted under duress after witnessing another detainee allegedly die while in police custody.
Drawing attention to what he described as inconsistencies in the investigation, the activist stated:
“This was why the first statement recorded in a video does not tally with the second statement that was written down. Now this is their third statement when the case was taken away from you.”
VeryDarkBlackMan maintained that the allegations go beyond the individuals involved, arguing that they raise broader questions about public confidence in Nigeria’s justice system.
“We are talking about the integrity of the justice system of Nigeria,” he said.
The controversy follows an earlier television appearance by AIG Moshood Jimoh on TVC, where he denied any wrongdoing. However, VeryDarkBlackMan insisted that the police officer had not directly addressed the specific allegations contained in his earlier videos and again challenged him to publicly respond to the claims.
As of the time of filing this report, the allegations made by VeryDarkBlackMan remain disputed, and no court has made any findings regarding the claims.
AIG Moshood Jimoh has previously denied wrongdoing.
