Bandits Burn 11 Family Members To Death In Zamfara
Eleven members of a family have been burnt to death after suspected armed bandits set their home ablaze in Gidan Taba village, Dosara Birnin Kaya Ward, Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The attack happened on Saturday night, November 7, 2026, when the armed group reportedly gathered the entire household in one room and set them on fire.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Zamfara State Police Command, DSP Yazid Abubakar, said the attackers carried out the assault at the family’s residence.
The victims were said to belong to the family of Mallam Muhammadu Sani, a member of the local vigilante group.

Sani was reportedly targeted because he had denied the bandits freedom to operate in the troubled area, prompting them to attack him and his entire family.
The police spokesperson said operatives were on the trail of the assailants and were working to restore normalcy in the affected village.
As of the time of filing this report, the remains of the victims had been buried in the village amid grief and tension.
