Nigerian woman Ms Dooshima has publicly appealed to FrieslandCampina WAMCO, the company behind popular milk brands including Peak Milk, Three Crowns, Olympic and Coast Milk, amid concerns surrounding the safety and quality of some milk products reportedly found in the market.

In an open letter addressed to the company, Dooshima said the brands have earned the trust of Nigerian families over several decades, noting that many consumers grew up using the products and have continued to introduce them to their children.

She expressed concern over reports suggesting that some milk products believed to be original may have gone bad, saying consumers can no longer dismiss every questionable product as fake.

According to her, Nigerian families are now worried and deserve clear explanations from the company.

She wrote:

“On behalf of every Nigerian mother and family, I’m writing this open letter to FrieslandCampina WAMCO, the makers of Peak Milk, Three Crowns, Olympic and Coast Milk.

Peak Milk has been around for more than 70 years. Our mothers trusted these brands and handed them down to us, and now we are about to hand them over to our children. Suddenly, something appears to have gone wrong with these products we have trusted for decades.

At some point, we made excuses that perhaps some people were producing fake milk. But now, we have come to realise that, alongside the fake products in the market, some of the products that have gone bad are reportedly original products from your brand.

At this point, we are scared, we are asking questions, and we deserve answers.”

Dooshima’s appeal highlights growing concerns among consumers who want clarification about the reported issues and reassurance regarding the quality of the products they have relied on for years.
