Mother Seeks Advice After 4-Year-Old Son Says ‘Unseen Woman’ Visits Him At Night
- A mother is concerned about her four-year-old son’s claims of an “unseen woman” talking and playing with him at night.
- She initially dismissed his behavior as imaginative play or toy interaction.
- The situation has prompted her to seek advice on social media.

A worried mother has taken to social media to seek advice after her four-year-old son allegedly claimed that an “unseen woman” talks and plays with him in his room at night.
According to the mother, she initially paid little attention to her son’s behaviour, believing he was either playing with his toys or simply using his imagination.
However, she became concerned after noticing that the boy had started talking to someone in his room almost every night.
She said she would sometimes sit in the sitting room and hear her son laughing and talking as though he was having a conversation with someone.
“When I enter the room, he will suddenly stop talking,” she said.
The mother explained that she repeatedly asked her son who he was talking to, but he would simply respond, “Nobody, Mummy.”
As the behaviour continued, she decided to question him more seriously.
“I told him, ‘My son, who are you always talking to in this room?’”
The boy reportedly pointed towards an empty corner of the room and told his mother, “Mummy, she is sitting there.”
“I honestly got scared,” the mother said.
When she asked who the woman was, the boy reportedly mentioned a name that his mother said she did not recognise.
She further asked what the woman usually did with him, and the boy allegedly said she talks to him and sometimes plays with him.
The mother also claimed that her son gave a description of the woman’s appearance.
“The strange thing is that he only talks about this woman when he is in his room,” the mother said.
“I have never seen anybody there, and nobody in our house has that name.”
She said she also asked whether the woman was one of his teachers or someone he knew from school, but the boy reportedly said no.
According to the mother, her concerns increased when she noticed that her son would sometimes sit alone and laugh as though someone was playing with him.
She recalled an incident that particularly unsettled her.
“Yesterday, before he went to bed, he looked at that same corner and said, ‘Goodnight. I will see you tomorrow.’”
“I honestly didn’t know what to say,” she added.
Despite her concerns, the mother said she did not want to frighten her son or make him feel that he had done something wrong.
“I don’t want to frighten my child or make him feel like he has done something wrong,” she said.
“But as his mother, I am also worried because I don’t understand what is happening.”
She said she was now unsure whether her son’s claims were simply part of a child’s imagination or something that required further attention.
The concerned mother subsequently appealed to other parents for advice, asking if anyone had experienced a similar situation with their children.
“Please, mothers, has anybody experienced something like this with a child before?” she asked.
“Could this just be a child’s imagination, or should I be concerned and talk to his doctor or teacher about it?”
She added, “I really need advice because I don’t know whether I am overthinking this or my son is trying to tell me something.”
