Item Methodist Women Pray for Anyaso’s Victory in 2027

The women of the Methodist Diocese of Item have prayed for divine guidance, favour and victory for the Labour Party candidate for Bende Federal Constituency, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The prayers were offered on Friday at the Methodist Church, Akanu Item, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, during the Diocesan Women Conference.

Leading the prayers, the Bishop of Item Diocese, Methodist Church Nigeria, Rt. Rev. Dr. Ikechukwu Emezi Nkulo, assured Anyaso of God’s intervention, declaring that “the Lord will fight for you,” in keeping with the theme of the conference.

The Bishop described the Methodist Church as a focused and caring institution committed to serving humanity, stressing the importance of faith and divine guidance in the affairs of individuals and society.

The women also prayed that God would grant Anyaso the desires of his heart, guide his political aspiration and enable him to contribute meaningfully to the development and representation of the people of Bende Federal Constituency.

Speaking after the prayers, Anyaso thanked the Bishop, women leadership and members of the diocese for their hospitality, prayers and support.

He said he attended the conference in response to an invitation from the women leadership, led by Dame Uzoma Nkulo, adding that the visit provided an opportunity to meet with the women and appreciate them for their goodwill.

Anyaso pledged that, if elected to represent Bende Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, he would remain committed to the interests of the people and would not disappoint them.

Also speaking, the Director-General of the Chima Anyaso Campaign Organisation, Pastor Okechukwu Dike, thanked the Bishop and the women of the diocese for receiving the campaign team.

Dike said the prayers and goodwill extended to the candidate were deeply appreciated, assuring that Anyaso would remain accountable to the people if elected in 2027.
