August 03, () — The Nigerian stock market began the week on a positive note on Monday as investors gained ₦288 billion, with buying interest in selected stocks helping the market overcome widespread profit-taking.
Market capitulation rose from ₦158.326 trillion to ₦158.614 trillion, while the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) All-Share Index (ASI) advanced by 446.85 basis points to close at 245,730.53 from 245,283.68 recorded in the previous session.
However, market breadth remained negative as 25 stocks appreciated against 39 decliners.
