Nigerian cleric Apostle Joshua Aghasedo has stirred reactions online after sharing his views on the use of sex toys by married couples.

The pastor addressed the subject during a sermon after being asked whether using s3x toys within marriage amounts to a sin.

In his response, Aghasedo likened sex toys to everyday items such as cars and mobile phones, questioning whether the use of such equipment should automatically be regarded as sinful when used within the context of marriage.

“Is driving a car, is it a sin? A car to drive you from here to Dallas, is it a sin? Using the phone, is it a sin?” he said.

The cleric clarified that he had never personally used a sex toy. However, he noted that advancements in technology have provided married couples with different tools that could potentially assist them in their intimate lives.

According to him, he had even recommended a sex toy to a married couple in the past after considering the circumstances surrounding their relationship.

Aghasedo explained that his intention was to help the couple navigate their challenges and prevent either spouse from looking outside the marriage for intimacy.

“I have never used a sex toy. But in this modern day of technology, it’s an equipment. It can help you do the job to 90%, and you finish the remaining 10%.

“I have suggested sex toy to a couple before, when I look at all the surrounding circumstances, so that somebody is not going out and do those things. It’s an equipment to help the process. We are talking within the framework of marriage, not outside,” he added.

His comments have since sparked a debate, with some people supporting the idea that married couples should be free to explore ways of improving intimacy, while others have expressed reservations about his position.

The remarks have consequently renewed conversations surrounding marriage, intimacy and the role of modern technology in romantic relationships.
