American rapper Rick Ross has been arrested on battery and str@ngulation charges after an ex-girlfriend allegedly accused him of physically vi%lating her during an August 28 incident.
Ross has pleaded not guilty, while his lawyers have denied the allegations and urged the public not to prejudge the case.

Ross, whose real name is William Leonard Roberts II, voluntarily surrendered to police and was booked on charges of felony battery by str@ngulation and misdemeanor battery, both classified as domestic vi%lence-related offences.
According to police records and reports, the alleged incident occurred on August 28.
The woman reportedly told investigators that she was asleep when Ross woke her over a social media photo in which she had been tagged. She alleged that he accused her of lying before sl@pping her in the face.
She further claimed that Ross struck her several times in the chest after she denied being involved with another man. According to her account, he also allegedly ch%ked her until she struggled to breathe, grabbed her by her ponytail and slammed her against a wall.
The woman reportedly provided police with photographs of injuries she said were connected to the alleged incident.
Ross was released on bond after being held on $5,000 for the str@ngulation charge and $1,000 for the battery charge. He is scheduled to appear in court for arraignment on October 22.
Court records show that Ross has pleaded not guilty to both charges.
His lawyers, Steve Sadow and Bradley Horenstein, have denied the allegations, describing Ross as wrongfully accused and questioning his ex-girlfriend’s motives. They also pointed out that she waited about a month before reporting the alleged incident to police.
The lawyers urged the public not to prejudge the case, stressing that the allegations remain subject to the judicial process.
