Rema Splashes Millions On Luxury Dubai Property, Expands Real Estate Portfolio

Afrobeats star Rema has expanded his property portfolio after reportedly acquiring a luxury apartment in Dubai from Binghatti Holdings, one of the United Arab Emirates’ leading real estate developers.

The development was disclosed by Binghatti executive Essam Raghab, who took to Instagram to share a photo with the singer during the official signing ceremony.

In his post, Raghab announced:

“Binghatti proudly announces global singer and songwriter Rema as the newest homeowner at One by Binghatti. The official signing ceremony took place at Grand Hyatt Dubai, led by Binghatti’s Chief Sales Officer, Abdullah Binghatti, alongside the company’s top management.”

Rema, whose real name is Divine Ikubor, rose to prominence in Nigeria’s music industry in 2019 and has gone on to establish himself as one of Africa’s biggest contemporary music stars.

His international profile received a major boost following the release of his hit song “Calm Down” in 2022. The track became hugely popular across the Middle East and the UAE, further expanding his global audience.

The latest acquisition places Rema among several prominent Nigerians who own high-end properties in Dubai.

Others reported to have invested in Dubai real estate include billionaire businessman Abdulsamad Rabiu, businessman Femi Otedola, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Super Eagles forward Odion Ighalo, who also featured for Manchester United.

Binghatti Holdings has built a reputation for developing luxury residential properties in Dubai, with a focus on contemporary architecture and high-end living.

Rema’s reported purchase at One by Binghatti further highlights the singer’s growing status and success beyond the music industry.
