An Abuja woman has cried out after her garden was reportedly demolished, pointing to her APC membership card while appealing for help.

In a viral video, the woman spoke to Isaac Fayose about the demolition and stressed that she is a supporter of President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

She said:

“Look at my APC card, I’m a full Tinubu supporter, yet they came to demolish my garden here in Abuja”

Isaac Fayose subsequently appealed to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike to intervene and look into the woman’s complaint.

The development comes amid ongoing demolition and enforcement exercises by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA). Wike has maintained that structures built on waterways, green areas and other spaces in violation of Abuja’s planning rules will be removed. In August 2026, the FCTA began demolishing structures obstructing waterways after severe flooding in parts of the capital.

The woman’s complaint has sparked reactions online, with some users questioning whether political support should have any bearing on government enforcement.

@PaulEkeh19: Divide the country una say no. How can Wike from Rivers State be grabbing lands in Abuja.
