“How Can ₦45,000 Finish in Four Days?” – Drama as Man Confronts MTN Staff Over Rapid Data Depletion
- A man sparked a scene at an MTN office after claiming his ₦45,000 router data subscription was exhausted within four days.
- The incident has fueled fresh complaints from Nigerians about rapid data depletion and network service.

A Nigerian man has gone viral after confronting staff at an MTN office, alleging that his ₦45,000 router data subscription was exhausted within just four days.
In a video circulating on social media, the visibly frustrated customer questioned how such an expensive data plan could finish so quickly, insisting that he had not used it excessively.
“How can ₦45k finish in 4 days? Where do you want me to see another ₦45k to recharge now? It is becoming too much,” he lamented.
The incident has reignited conversations about data consumption and network service quality, with many Nigerians sharing similar experiences and calling for greater transparency from telecom providers. Others, however, argued that heavy streaming, downloads or multiple connected devices could also contribute to rapid data usage.
The viral video has since sparked mixed reactions across social media.
