Nigerian music producer-turned-singer Young Jonn has turned down rapper Blaqbonez’s request to collaborate with him after bringing up an old tweet from 2015.

The exchange began after Young Jonn shared a post expressing his desire to have a close group of five friends who would move together.

Young Jonn wrote, “I need like 5 bad friends way we go dey move in bulk!”

Blaqbonez responded to the post by showing interest in joining the group and possibly making music together.

He wrote, “Oya, make we dey together, sing as one.”

However, Young Jonn appeared to reject the offer after recalling a 2015 tweet allegedly made by Blaqbonez, in which the rapper compared him with fellow music producer DJ Coublon and indicated that he preferred Coublon.

Young Jonn shared a screenshot of the old post and fired back at Blaqbonez, writing, “Go sing as one with Coublon.”

Reacting to the screenshot, Blaqbonez denied being responsible for the post, explaining that it was made by his social media handler in 2015.

The playful exchange between the two artistes has since attracted attention from fans, with many reacting to Young Jonn’s decision to bring up the decade-old tweet.
