“Davido is loud and lou$y” - Sowore slams Adeleke family over Tinubu endorsement

Human rights activist and politician Omoyele Sowore has renewed his criticism of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and his family, while questioning reports that Afrobeats star Davido may disagree with his uncle’s endorsement of President Bola Tinubu for a second term.

In a post on X, Sowore recalled his previous criticism of Adeleke, claiming he had described the governor as “empty upstairs” and suggesting that Davido reacted angrily to his comments at the time.

“I stated categorically that Governor Ademola Adeleke @AAdeleke_01 empty upstairs. Of course, his loud and lousy cousin, @Davido, couldn’t take it and went on a rant.”

Sowore said he was now questioning whether Davido would oppose the Adeleke family’s political position after reports that his uncle had endorsed Tinubu for another presidential term.

“I’m now reading that @Davido “allegedly” disagrees with his uncle’s endorsement of Tinubu @officialabat for a ruinous second term as Nigeria’s president. But you can you trust @Davido on this.”

He referenced a previous tweet which he claimed Davido deleted after saying he would not support Tinubu for a second term, urging Nigerians to judge politicians and public figures by their actions.

“At the end of the day, Nigerians should watch what they do, not merely what they say.”

Sowore also accused the Adeleke family of prioritising family interests and political influence in Osun State, particularly their business interests and hold on the state’s political structure.

“Their politics revolve around family interests, protecting their stakes in the power sector, their cash cow, and maintaining their grip on Osun State, which they treat like a family jackpot. That is not public service. It is politics built around private interests.”

His comments sparked mixed reactions, with some social media users criticising him for repeatedly attacking the Adeleke family, while others urged him to focus on his political movement.
