A Nigerian lady has raised concerns over the alleged high number of fake products in circulation across Nigeria, while also reacting to the response of the NAFDAC Director-General to a call for her resignation.

The lady claimed that many Nigerians may be using counterfeit products without knowing, listing toothpaste, bathing soap, tomato paste and palm oil among the items she believes could be fake.

“As a Nigerian living in Nigeria, we are in very big trouble. The chances that you’re using more than 10 fake products are very high. Your toothpaste is fake, your bathe soap is fake, your tomato paste and palm oil is fake. Yet NAFDAC chair lady was laughing hysterically when someone challenged her to resign.”

Her statement has since sparked reactions online, with some Nigerians sharing experiences and expressing concerns about the authenticity of products sold in the country.

One user claimed to have bought fake cow meat, while another said almost all categories of products now have counterfeits.
