Bichi Rallies Kano Lawmakers Behind Tinubu, Yusuf Ahead of 2027 Elections
The member representing Bichi Federal Constituency of Kano State in the House of Representatives, Hon. Abubakar Kabir Abubakar Bichi, has mobilised members of the State House of Assembly to work assiduously towards the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in the 2027 election cycle.
The federal lawmaker, during a strategic meeting with members of the Assembly, led by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Jibrin Ismail Falgore, gave cogent reasons why the state lawmakers should work for the victory of President Tinubu and Governor Yusuf.
He insisted that the President and the Governor had both demonstrated good governance, ensuring that Kano remained in the forefront of socio-economic development.
The Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations, who hosted the closed-door meeting in Bichi town, further stated that the idea behind it was to foster a united front and a strong, coordinated campaign to stimulate support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State.
He said: “I have met with members of the State House of Assembly, and our discussions centred on how best to harmonise campaign programmes and strategies to secure victory for the party’s candidates.
“Our mission is simple. We are putting heads together to mobilise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in the 2027 general elections, and we are optimistic that this will be achieved by the grace of God.
“Let me appreciate the presence of the lawmakers, and specifically the Speaker and other candidates, for responding to this invitation.

“With what I have seen and been able to achieve today, success is assured. We have resolved to deploy our collective commitment, and that remains critical to the party’s electoral success in the January and February 2027 general elections.”

Our Correspondent reports that Bichi had, last week, inaugurated the Kano North campaign council, where he showcased President Tinubu’s ongoing infrastructural development projects in Kano and the northern region to justify the President’s re-election bid.
Bichi recalled that late President Muhammadu Buhari would not have emerged victorious in the 2015 presidential election without the political support and strategic intervention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He insisted that “the North owes President Tinubu a debt of gratitude for approving the execution of massive road construction projects and several developmental initiatives cutting across the region.”
According to him, “the time has come for the Northern political establishment to reciprocate President Tinubu’s support by galvanising votes for his second-term ambition.
“Political stakeholders in Kano North Senatorial District have resolved to deliver at least one million votes to President Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
“Tinubu made the late President Muhammadu Buhari President after several unsuccessful attempts to become President. It is now time for us to compensate Tinubu for what he did for the North.”
Bichi dismissed insinuations that President Tinubu was pursuing policies deliberately targeted against Northern Nigeria, describing such allegations as “insincere and politically motivated.”
He further stated that President Tinubu’s commitment to the development of Kano State, particularly through the approval of critical infrastructure projects, had demonstrated his concern for the progress of Northern Nigeria.
“Those saying President Tinubu does not like the North are not sincere. We have decided to vote massively for the President because of his developmental support for Kano,” he added.
