Abia Police Command Holds Unity Fitness Walk to Promote Security Collaboration
The Abia State Police Command will on Saturday, October 3, 2026, hold a Unity Fitness Walk in Umuahia, in collaboration with sister security agencies and other stakeholders in the state.
The fitness walk, which is scheduled to commence by 6:00 a.m. from the Police Headquarters, Umuahia, is part of efforts to promote professionalism, unity and stronger inter-agency cooperation in line with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police.

The initiative is aimed at strengthening collaboration among security agencies and promoting community policing towards building a safer community, stronger people and a greater Abia.
The Command said the exercise would further provide an avenue for sister security agencies and key stakeholders to foster unity of purpose and strengthen partnerships in the collective effort to keep the state safe.
Members of the public are also invited to participate in the fitness walk as the Police Command seeks greater community involvement in security and safety efforts across Abia State.
The Command urged residents to join the exercise and support its commitment to sustainable partnerships and community-oriented policing.
