July 28, () — President Bola Tinubu has strongly condemned the deadly attack on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward of Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, which claimed the lives of about 30 residents, including women and children, describing the incident as a barbaric act of terror against innocent Nigerians.

The President, who expressed outrage over the killings, vowed that the perpetrators would be tracked down and brought to justice, warning that those seeking to reverse the security gains recorded in Kaduna State would face the full weight of the law.

reports that the attack, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, also left several houses razed, forcing residents to flee the community in what has become one of the deadliest incidents recorded in the area in recent months.

The President in a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, described the assault as “barbaric and cowardly,” assuring Nigerians that security agencies had been directed to launch an intensive manhunt for those responsible.

“I have directed the Armed Forces, Police, and relevant intelligence agencies to intensify operations across the affected areas to track down the perpetrators swiftly and restore normalcy to the region,” Tinubu said.

He stressed that criminal elements attempting to undermine the relative peace achieved in Kaduna State would not be allowed to succeed.

“Those behind this heinous attack will be brought to justice. Anyone seeking to undermine the peace and security recorded in Kaduna State in recent times will not go unpunished,” he declared.

President Tinubu extended his condolences to the families of those killed, as well as to Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, the state government, and the people of Kaduna State.

He described the loss of lives as painful and tragic, assuring the bereaved families that the Federal Government stood with them during the difficult period.

The President also pledged continued collaboration with the Kaduna State Government to confront insecurity and safeguard lives and property.

According to him, the Federal Government remains determined to provide the necessary support to communities affected by violent attacks while strengthening security operations across vulnerable areas.

Fresh Push Against Criminal Networks

Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to improving national security, Tinubu said the government would continue investing in security infrastructure and equipping personnel with the resources needed to confront emerging threats.

“Our administration has an unwavering commitment to strengthening security infrastructure, equipping response personnel, and neutralising criminal networks attempting to disrupt the peace of the nation,” he stated.

He said security agencies would sustain offensive operations against terrorists, bandits, and other criminal groups threatening peace and stability across the country.

The President urged residents of affected communities to continue cooperating with security agencies by providing credible intelligence capable of aiding ongoing operations.

Kaduna State has remained one of Nigeria’s security flashpoints, with communities in Southern Kaduna experiencing repeated attacks linked to banditry, communal conflicts, and other forms of violent criminality.

Kauru Local Government Area has witnessed repeated attacks by armed groups in recent years, resulting in loss of lives, destruction of property, and displacement of residents.

Although the administration of Governor Uba Sani has repeatedly stated that security conditions have improved through enhanced collaboration with federal security agencies, isolated attacks have continued to test those gains.
