Surging market prices place strict limits on what these grant tiers achieve on the ground. A entry-level ₦100,000 allocation currently covers fewer than 15 standard textbooksq or a single month of commercial broadband connection for a rural computer room.

Past funding cycles highlight a persistent maintenance gap inside recipient schools. Basic physical additions like whiteboards or student desks frequently deteriorate within two terms because schools lack follow-up budgets for repairs or routine replacements.

Measuring long-term grant success requires tracking concrete learning outcomes rather than initial purchase receipts.

Educational auditors must monitor whether new equipment directly drives student attendance, teacher retention, and term-end examination pass rates across multiple academic years.
