19 YEARS AFTER: REP. EMEKA ATUMA’S LEGACIES STILL SPEAK.

Exactly 19 years ago, Hon. Emeka Atuma bowed out of the House of Representatives after serving Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency (2003-2007) as a Principal Officer and Chairman, House Committee on Environment and Ecological Management.

19 years after, his legacies remain visible, verifiable, and enduring. While many are remembered for what they promised, Atuma is remembered for what he DID.

What others could not achieve in 8 to 12 years in the National Assembly, Atuma achieved in just 4 years as a young first-timer.

Verifiable Records:
He sponsored two Principal Acts that are now national agencies – NOSDRA and NESREA – a feat no first-timer has matched.

Beyond lawmaking, he delivered:
72 Water Projects, Erosion Control, Rural Electrification, Roads with Street Lights, Classroom Blocks, Scholarships, Youth Employment and Women Empowerment.

He left the Green Chamber with indelible print but never left the people. Atuma Cares – consistent, not seasonal.

History was made in Abia empowerment. Atuma was the first to empower constituents with 100 motorbikes, sewing machines and cars for completely free, not on hire purchase; while many got cash to boost their businesses. It was after his scheme that others learned and followed. At that event, then-Governor Orji Uzor Kalu was amazed as NASS members across Abia were shocked by the magnitude.

Today, his plan for Abia Central youths is beyond Keke driving.
Rather, sustainable employment and development that guarantees growth, family stability and job security.

This is why in 2027, we will vote Atuma into the Senate. We will send an experienced legislator who is prepared, competent, and widely accepted across Abia Central and his name is Hon Emeka Atuma popularly known as Kabila.

Kabila’s legacies speak volumes. The people testify. The future beckons.
