Nollywood actress and evangelist Tonto Dikeh has stirred reactions online following the birthday tribute she shared for controversial social media personality Bobrisky.

Tonto celebrated Bobrisky with a lengthy message in which she described the celebrant as her “brother,” “anchor,” and one of the most dependable people in her life.

As part of the celebration, the actress also presented Bobrisky with a N2 million cheque, which she jokingly referred to as “breakfast money.”

Reflecting on their friendship, Tonto recalled a particular moment when she told Bobrisky that it was “time for war.” According to her, he did not hesitate or question her decision, but simply asked, “How far are we going to fight?”

She described his willingness to stand by her without asking questions as a rare and irreplaceable form of loyalty.

However, beyond the generous gift and emotional words, some social media users focused on the way Tonto referred to Bobrisky throughout the tribute.

The actress repeatedly used male pronouns and referred to Bobrisky as a “man.” She also ended the post with the statement: “This is BOB MY FRIEND IN WHOM I AM PLEASED.”

Her choice of words attracted attention, particularly because Bobrisky has publicly identified as a woman and has remained a prominent figure in conversations surrounding gender identity in Nigeria.

Bobrisky, however, responded warmly to Tonto’s birthday message in the comment section, writing: “Thank you mama ❤️”
