2027 Abia Guber: Eric Opah Scores Major Boost as CityBoy Movement Reaffirms Commitment to APC

The State Director of the CityBoy Movement in Abia State, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, has reaffirmed the movement’s unwavering commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC) following a consultation visit by the party’s governorship candidate, Chief Eric C. Opah.

Chief Opah, accompanied by his running mate, Dr. Godswill Agu Egbe, the Director-General of the Eric Opah Campaign Organization, Chief Charles Ogbonna, and other members of his campaign team, paid a courtesy visit to the leadership of the CityBoy Movement as part of ongoing stakeholder consultations across the state.

Welcoming the delegation, Mayor Igbokwe described the visit as a demonstration of purposeful leadership, noting that continuous engagement with party stakeholders is essential for promoting unity, strengthening internal democracy, and positioning the APC for greater success in Abia State.

He offered prayers for Chief Opah, asking God to grant him wisdom, strength, divine direction, and favour as he continues consultations and preparations ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

Mayor Igbokwe emphasized that the CityBoy Movement has grown into one of the APC’s strongest grassroots political structures in Abia State, driven by its commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

According to him, the movement has continued to expand through discipline, loyalty, and effective grassroots mobilization, adding that it is steadily emerging as a strategic political force capable of influencing leadership decisions within the party.

He expressed confidence that, just as the movement played a significant role in supporting the emergence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, it will continue to shape the political future of the APC by contributing to the emergence of credible leaders across elective positions.

The CityBoy Movement Director also commended the leadership of the APC for promoting consultation, inclusiveness, and party cohesion. He urged members across Abia State to remain united and committed to building a stronger party capable of delivering quality leadership and good governance.
