Blessing Ezeokafor, daughter of Nigerian businessman and Jezco Group chairman, Chief Joseph Ezeokafor, has publicly accused her younger brother, Jowizaza, of contributing to the alleged kidnapping crisis involving their father.

In a series of Facebook posts, Blessing claimed that her brother’s extravagant lifestyle and portrayal of wealth on social media may have created the impression that the family had access to vast financial resources.

According to her, this allegedly influenced the kidnappers’ ransom demand, which she claimed increased from ₦700 million to ₦1.5 billion.

Blessing further alleged that, contrary to the image of affluence presented online, the family was facing significant financial difficulties and was heavily indebted.

She accused Jowizaza of displaying wealth that, according to her, did not reflect the family’s actual financial situation.

In one of her posts, she wrote:

“Jowizaza, my brother, you are the cause of this madness. Social media noise when we don’t have that money. You use audio money to make hoodlums think the money is available. Imagine ₦1 billion. If anything happens to my dad, I will hold you responsible.”

She went on to claim that the family owed banks about ₦40 billion and questioned how such a huge ransom could be raised.

“Making noise when we are owing banks ₦40 billion, and these people think the money is there. Fake life, claiming what we don’t have. You are owing banks ₦40 billion, no hope to pay. You’re struggling. Now your madness has made people think we have money.”

Blessing had also previously alleged that Jowizaza was removed from his position as a director in their father’s company and subsequently placed on a monthly salary of ₦1 million.

Appealing directly to the alleged kidnappers, the distressed daughter maintained that her family did not have the financial capacity to meet the reported ransom demand.

“Kidnappers, they don’t have money. It is audio money. Please leave my dad alone. Please release him. They are swimming in debt,” she added.

Her emotional posts have sparked reactions across social media, with Blessing continuing to appeal for the safe release of her father amid the reported crisis.
