“We Aren’t Afraid of You, I Swear to God APC Won’t Get a Single Vote” — Northern Mother Confronts APC Mobilisation Team
A heated encounter between a Northern mother and members of an APC campaign mobilisation team has sparked attention after the woman openly rejected the party’s appeal and expressed deep frustration over what she described as grievances rooted in the APC’s governance.
The woman, who appeared visibly angry and frustrated, confronted the mobilisation team and made it clear that she was not prepared to be persuaded by campaign promises or political mobilisation.
In an emphatic declaration, she told the team:
“We aren’t afraid of you, I swear to God APC won’t get a single vote, not even campaign, if you like do what is beyond campaign we’ll not vote APC…”

Her outburst captured the intensity of emotions that can emerge at the grassroots when citizens feel dissatisfied with the direction of government and the conditions affecting their daily lives.

Rather than engaging with the campaign message, the woman turned the encounter into an opportunity to voice her grievances, insisting that her opposition to the APC was driven by frustration with the party and not fear of political pressure.
The incident comes as political parties begin to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections, with the battle for voters expected to increasingly move beyond rallies and political speeches into direct engagement with communities.
For the APC, the encounter highlights the difficult task of convincing voters who believe that the party has failed to meet their expectations. It also demonstrates that political mobilisation can sometimes expose, rather than conceal, the depth of public frustration.
As the 2027 political contest approaches, the reactions of ordinary Nigerians such as this woman could become increasingly significant. Whether her declaration reflects a broader sentiment among Northern voters or represents an individual expression of anger remains to be seen.
But one thing was unmistakable in the encounter: she was not ready to be persuaded and she wanted the APC campaign team to hear h
er loud and clear.
